The government's farcical attempts to "de-regulate" the licensing of music and dance by imposing new and —to say the least— complex and ambiguous regulations have already wasted a lot of our time and that of parliament. It would be thoroughly amusing were it not for the enormous damage that the new legislation may do to the folk arts and all manner of other innocent activities. In the face of bone-headed ministerial intransigence, the struggle continues. More details and links to further information:
