Following the recent disaster, a lot of people want to do what they can to help; and it's clear that a great deal of money will be needed in the coming months. A number of folk arts related fundraising events have been announced or mooted, and it's our intention to carry listings here for any such in our region.

We will be adding details as we get them. If you know of regional events that should be listed here, please let us know via:

Overton Tenor D whistle

Donated by renowned maker Bernard Overton (now retired) for auction, with various accessories, by Pete Willow and the folk clubs and British Legion of Brinklow (Warwickshire). Not exactly local (!), but easily accessible to all through the link above.

Update: the whistle sold for £205: all profits to the cause.
