|
Following the success of the English Country Music Weekend 2003, held at Edgemount Farm in High Bradfield, Mark Davies, who organised it and made his farm available for the weekend, has agreed to organise another event this year. This is independent of the English Country Music Weekend 2004, which will be held at Postlip Tythe Barn, Nr Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, 25-27 June. The Bradfield weekend will follow a broadly similar model and promises to be an unmissable event. Those invited as guests include some of the best traditional singers and musicians in England and include:
There will be a real ale bar and on-site catering. Sessions will take place in local pubs and dancing in the barn or in the marquee. Talks will be given on local musical traditions. The cost per person will be £10, to include camping.
Mark Davies Updates will be posted at the South Riding Folk Network website: |
