| Karen Tweed: Adventures in Music
| ||||||||||||||||||
Accordion player Karen Tweed and friends are running a series of workshop courses this autumn which we are sure will interest many of you. Places are limited and participants are welcome with any instrument, as the courses focus on listening, observation and creating / arranging music, rather than being technique-specific.
The courses are open to everyone over 16 and are intended to encourage listening, performance, improvisation, composition and ideas. Participants do not need to have any experience of reading notation or working by ear (although work in these areas will be covered) and any standard of music is acceptable. However, if participants are beginner / lower intermediate, please know that the flow of teaching must not be interrupted. Participants are encouraged to bring recording facilities and manuscript paper. Two of the courses will be based in our region:
Scholarships for fees are available. Places are limited.
