Sutton-in-Craven
-
Keighley Road Jolly Wassailers
A group of mixed voices, formed in 1999, singing wassails and carols to celebrate the turning of the year, Mayday and Harvest. Songs are mainly unaccompanied four-part harmony; some have music and dance. We put the joy of dance back into carol singing! Songs include wassails from all over England; Sheffield carols; mediaeval Latin carols; and boisterous drinking songs.
New singers welcome - you don't need to be able to read music, but you do need a good ear to listen to yourself and other singers.
Practices are at The King's Arms, Sutton-in-Craven BD20 7LP, Tuesdays 8 - 10pm, for a few weeks before performances. Please check before turning up.
